Trip Introduction

Much popular since the first expedition in 1953, the Everest Base Camp trek starts at the upper Phakding and follows the Dudh Kosi valley which climbs up to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar; that’s a junction for trekkers, traders the local Sherpa and expeditions en route to the mighty Mt. Everest. All along this part of the trail, villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs.  From Namche, you will reach Thyangboche in 2 hrs trekking. Feets on the trails, eyes on the Everest and other spectacular peaks, flying with the fresh air, you will be in the process of discovering your thoughts. The monastery sits at 3,867m in a clearing surrounded by dwarf firs and rhododendrons. Trekkers will then descend to the Imja Khola and continue to the villages of Pangboche and Pheriche before finally approaching the Khumbu Glacier. We then follow the glacier, first to Lobuche, a vantage point for some spectacular views of the Ama Dablam, Taweche and other peaks and then hike to Gorak Shep.

Gokyo Lake lies at the altitude of 4790m. Besides world famous mountains, this pristine lake is another key factor making khumbu region wealthy of nature. Passing through the Cho la pass (5430m) and Gokyo valley, we reach to Everest base camp.5364m. crossing Kalapatther 5554m. There we enjoy the majestic view - Mt. Everest 8848m, Lhotse 8501m, Cho Oyu 8201, Makalu 8463m, Nuptse 7861, Pumori 7165m, Amadablam 6856m, Thamserku 6608m and various other mountains with the close up view in your whole journey to the Everest Base Camp. Beauty and wonders of the scene give you perfect realization that you have been rewarded that you absolutely deserve. This also includes fantastic views of the south west face of the colossal Mt. Our trip planner and the travel team provided us a worldclass experience for a 6 day trip to Iceland. From the initial planning stages and throughout the trip, our trip planner stayed in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. Our guide did a great job of showing us the sites and sharing information about the history and culture of Iceland. We would highly recommend this travel team to anyone who wants to experience this beautiful country and its people in a bespoke way.
